Roses and Anemone Floral Shoulder Tattoo

The client had two small tattoos that she wanted to cover up. On the front she had a very small black heart and on her back she had a very faded butterfly. I measured the space from back to front with the two tattoos that needed covering. She was not specific about the type of flowers she wanted, but she wanted the piece to curve around her shoulder and be visible from the front and back. I positioned the center of the anemone flower to cover the small black heart in the front. The faded butterfly on her back was disguised with two leaves overlapping. To help with the disguising of the butterfly I created the design with very dark leaves and kept the flowers very softly shaded so that it creates a high contrast between the light flowers and dark leaves. I personally love this combination of flowers.
